The Waste Disposal Bern app is a service for the citizens and businesses of the city of Bern. In addition to an overview of all disposal options in the city and their locations,
the tool provides information on the collection dates for rubbish, paper / cardboard and green waste. Using favorites, users can save their collection dates and the service
times of the ÖkoInfoMobil and be reminded of them via personalized push messages. If push messages are activated, you will receive acute information, e.g. in the event of
extraordinary closings of the disposal yards or failure of the collection. A comprehensive disposal ABC rounds off the tool.
The app offers the following functions:
- Street directory with collection data for the fractions paper / cardboard, rubbish and green waste
- Reminder services for removal according to political groups
- ÖkoInfoMobil timetable and push reminders
- ABC of collection points with information on the groups at the collection points
- Information on the disposal centers
- Disposal ABC: What can I dispose of where and at what tariff.
- Information on other municipal waste disposal services
The app was developed as part of a thesis in the field of computer science at the Bern University of Applied Sciences. It is constantly being professionally developed. Ideas and
