1 Clothe the king with your righteousness, O God, and the king's son with your righteousness,
2 that he may judge with righteousness and justice your oppressed ones.
3 May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, and the hills the fruit of righteousness.
4 Let him defend the oppressed among the people and deliver the children of the poor; crush him the oppressor!
5 May he endure like the sun and like the moon for all generations.
6 Let him be like rain on a mowed field, like showers that water the earth.
7 May the righteous flourish in the days of the king, and there be great prosperity while the moon lasts.
8 May he rule from sea to sea and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
9 May the tribes of the desert bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust.
10 Let the kings of Tarshish and the coastlands bring tribute to you; the kings of Sheba and Seba offer him gifts.
11 Let all kings bow down before him, and let all nations serve him.
12 For he delivers the poor who cry out for help, the oppressed who have no one to help them.
13 He has compassion on the weak and the poor and saves them from death.
14 He rescues them from oppression and violence, for their lives are precious in his eyes.
15 May the king live long! Let him receive the gold of Sheba. Let prayer be prayed for him continually, and blessings be invoked upon him all day long.
16 Let wheat be plentiful throughout the land, flowing on the tops of the mountains. May its fruits flourish like those of Lebanon and cities grow like plants in the
field.
17 May his name endure forever and his fame endure as long as the sun shines. May all nations be blessed through him, and may they call him blessed.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel, who alone does wondrous deeds.
19 Blessed be his glorious name forever; let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen.
